In the paper, the authors try to point out the importance of determining criminality on the streets of cities, or the phenomenon known as street crime. They point out that in criminological discussions from the field of phenomenology, special attention is paid to the spatial distribution of criminality, between the city and the countryside, for example, as well as in certain areas of the city. They point to a causal connection between poverty and crime, especially street crime. In the second decade of the 21st century, this phenomenon has not been eradicated, so there are still a large number of works, as well as scientific meetings, in which the importance of fighting against this most visible form of victimization of people in urban areas is emphasized.
