Abstract

Recently, the seventh, amended and supplemented, edition of the Company Law textbook authored by academician prof. Dr. Mirko Vasiljević, also the founder of this teaching discipline at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade. By returning Serbia, as well as the entire region, to the track of a market economy, by passing a set of laws that regulate the status issues of economic entities organized in various forms on the basis of private property, this teaching discipline also gains an important place in the curriculum of an increasing number of law faculties. which it deserves both from the point of view of teaching and science, as well as from the point of view of social needs. It is a teaching discipline that studies the relations of founders, members, partners and shareholders with each other, then their relations with the established company, relations within the company itself, as well as the relations of the company with third parties. To the extent that private property becomes the dominant form of property in the economy through the privatization of social and public enterprises, appropriate legal infrastructure, business, judicial and arbitration practice is also developed, which provides the necessary prerequisites for the development of this branch of law, as a separate one in our legal system.
