HEREDITARY WOMEN LAW IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The paper tries to examine how much and how women, i.e. wives and daughters in Bosnia and Herzegovina inherit property. The disparity between the normatively determined share in inheritance and the factual one, achieved after the probate procedure has been carried out, opens a serious question: why do the women of Bosnia and Herzegovina refuse the property that the law allocates to them? This puzzle will be clarified by looking at the development of women's inheritance rights and the cultural factors that influenced their development.
