The right to privacy belongs to the category of rights that are deeply rooted in the philosophy of human rights, possessing the patina of classic and studied law, but also a strong connotation of constant relevance. The paper analyzes whether concepts, definitions and the existing international legal normative framework provide adequate protection of the right to privacy in the busy IT and technologically advanced world in which we live. The analysis includes universal international legal norms, regional international legal acts, as well as the attitudes and practices of international bodies and courts.
